Biography

Mr. Wareham is Special Counsel to the firm through Robert B. Wareham PLLC, serves on its board of directors, and is Chairman Emeritus of the board. After serving as Chief Executive Officer of the firm for over 20 years, he withdrew as a shareholder on June 30, 2022. Relieved of his administrative and executive responsibilities, his practice is now limited exclusively to domestic relations litigation and counsel related to firearms law and regulation. Mr. Wareham handles high conflict divorce, support enforcement and custodial matters. Supported by superb support staff, Mr. Wareham has saved his clients millions of dollars in property equalization payouts by skillfully and effectively arguing that equitable does not necessarily mean equal when it comes to marital property division. Recognized by mental health practitioners for his unique insight into domestic violence issues, he is as comfortable representing the abused as the abuser.

As a former custodial parent himself, Mr. Wareham understands the special demands of being a single parent and fights to spare children the trauma associated with divorce. He counsels all his domestic relations clients, “I won’t let you hurt your kids!”

In addition to his litigation practice through The Law Center, Mr. Wareham provides mediation and arbitration services through his alternative dispute resolution firm of Family Conflict Solutions.

In addition to his client focused activities, Mr. Wareham believes strongly in a lawyer’s obligation to give back to the community. He has engaged in legislative advocacy with Colorado’s General Assembly and has co-authored at least three bills or amendments to bills that eventually were signed into law by Colorado’s Governor. A dynamic and engaging orator, Mr. Wareham has been called upon to testify before legislative committees and speak at political rallies. He is a sought-after expert in the area of firearms law, regulation, and Second Amendment issues frequently offering his expertise to members of the bench and bar by presenting seminars and lectures on the topic.

Mr. Wareham founded The Law Center P.C. in 1998 and continued to serve as its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director until his withdrawal in 2022. In addition to his professional duties, Mr. Wareham (amateur radio callsign NØESQ) is an amateur radio operator who volunteered countless hours serving as general counsel to amateur radio related non-profit organizations, and holding numerous volunteer positions with the American Radio Relay League, the National Association of Amateur Radio (ARRL®), serving as a Vice-Director of the Rocky Mountain Region, Colorado Section Manager, Colorado Section Emergency Coordinator, State Government Liaison, and Public Information Coordinator.
